Childcare

 Childcare in the Netherlands is for children from 0 up to and including 4 years old. To find out which child care centre is near to your home or just to know where they all are in 's-Hertogenbosch you can go to the cityhall.

Pre-school play groups

 This kind of education is for children from 2 up to and including 4 years old, this is an option if you do not want your child in day care for a full day. Usually these pre-schools have half day sessions, about 3 to 4 hours, with a minimum of 2 days a week.
The payment for pre-schools is based on your monthly salary and is subsidized by the government.

Pre-schools are especially for people who want to prepare their children for primary school and  have them socialize with other children. The language used at pre-schools is Dutch, it depends on the teacher if there is the possibility of speaking English.

Primary school

At these schools the main language is English, these schools are pre-eminently for children from expats.

After School Programmes

 After school programmes are designed for children from 4 to 12 years old. These programmes aim to have a relaxing and and fun environment for children after school. These after school programmes are open during the school term and some are also available during school holidays.

Secundary Education

 Secundary education for children in the Netherlands is for children aged 12 to 18. The age at which they have finished this depends on the level they attend their secundary education. Some schools offer bilingual education, but this is only on the higher levels like VWO.

Avans has about 23,000 students, 50 bachelor's degrees and 2,000 employees to the great universities of the Netherlands. Avans has locations in Breda, 's-Hertogenbosch and Tilburg.

You have plenty of opportunities to move on to an HBO theater. And you can make this step with a lot of extra baggage in the field of theater. It is not vocational training but a MHBO training, or a Vocational Higher Secondary.

The training program is officially called the ARTIST / DRAMA MHBO (BOL) and is part of the King Willem I College in 's-Hertogenbosch.

International School wil dependance

TILBURG – De International School Eindhoven wil een dependance vestigen in Tilburg voor Engelsta­lig primair onderwijs. Instellingen als de Universiteit van Tilburg, de Kamer van Koophandel, de Bra­bants- Zeeuwse Werkgeversvereni­ging en bedrijven in de regio met veel expats hebben zich al enthou­siast getoond over die plannen.

Het Tilburgse college is ook bereid de vestiging van de dependance te steunen. Zo wil het de komst van hoger opgeleiden en expats naar de regio stimuleren. Het ministe­rie van Onderwijs moet uiteinde­lijk toestemming geven voor de Engelstalige basisschool in Tilburg.
